TOKN partners with the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA)
TOKN has partnered with NECA WA (the WA branch of the National Electrical and Communications Association) to create the NECA Safe Digital App for electrical businesses.
With more than 1,400 members, NECA WA is part of the electrical industry's peak employer's association, representing the interests of electrical and communications contracting businesses across Western Australia.
NECA Safe Digital simplifies safety for WA electrical businesses, allowing electrical workers to complete traditionally paper-based WHS tasks quickly and effortlessly on their smart devices.
Designed by NECA WA’s safety and technical specialists and powered by the award winning TOKN Mobile Enterprise Platform, NECA Safe Digital allows electrical workers to complete their Pre-starts/Toolboxes, Vehicle Inspections, Risk Assessments (RAC & SWMS), Electrical Installation Tests and Incident and Hazard Reports digitally via their phone or tablet.
With the aim of leveraging technology to drive zero harm in the workplace, the NECA Safe Digital App has been designed to help users meet legislative requirements, digitise paper-based processes and improve productivity for electrical contractors throughout the state.
“TOKN provides a low-cost solution to small and medium businesses that allows for these paper systems to be replaced with real time HSE apps, at a fraction of the price,” says Mr Schroeder TOKN CEO.
TOKN recently completed the project with NECA WA where they worked with the state-wide electrical association to build provision the low-cost solution that bundles all the apps and documentation that electrical contractors need into a single package.
“This way, members of the association (usually small teams of electrical contractors) can use this solution for as little as $15 a month without the need to have a custom solution built for each and every single electrical business,”
NECA WA’s General Manager Member Services, Aidan O’Grady, highlights the need for all businesses to review and refine their safety processes, particularly in light of the new Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation that went live in WA earlier this year.
“TOKN Technology provides our members with an affordable way to complete WHS tasks digitally,” he said.
“Since launching the product in February this year, hundreds of risk assessments, electrical test sheets and pre-starts have been completed via the app. Not only does this help individual companies improve safety outcomes in their business, but it’s good for the safety culture of the entire electrical industry.”
